The Zeliangrong Baptist Association (ZBA) stands as one of the longest-established non-governmental organizations operating in the development sector of the Tamenglong district, Manipur state. The organization was officially registered under the Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 in 1989. In recent years, ZBA has collaborated with strategic partners including BWA, Seva Bharat, and the Baptist Union of Great Britain to provide essential relief services and educational support for displaced individuals in Assam affected by ethnic conflicts.
Presently, ZBA is implementing the "Strengthening Community Action for Development in Northeast India" initiative, sponsored by Brot für die Welt. This project operates in the most remote regions of Tamenglong, Manipur. Through this initiative, the organization has successfully established Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and People's Organizations, significantly enhancing the association's capacity to engage effectively with grassroots communities.
The association maintains a governance structure comprising 9 board members, supported by 7 full-time staff members and 5 part-time personnel.

4. Key Focus Areas of Work: The Zeliangrong Baptist Association focused on the remote and underserved areas of Tamenglong, with special emphasis on Tousem region. This area is characterized by its lack of proper roads and infrastructure, presents significant challenges. The ZBA undertake 20 villages in Tousem which is considered marginalized communities and have been overlooked or under-resourced. We are committed to reaching the most vulnerable populations and addressing their unique needs and challenges.
